Howsham - Crizzling and Hares!

Crizzling - not a term that is familiar to many!

It describes a condition that threatens the integrity of stained glass. The Grade 1-listed church of St John Howsham contains some beautiful stained glass, some of which has been affected by crizzling.

Simon Littlejohn has kindly provided some information about the condition and about the remedial action carried out by a local firm of experts.

You can read a brief article here: Crizzling - summary

 - and a fuller description of the work,

On a lighter note, Simon and Gill have sent some photographs of a daily visitor to their garden:

Hare's looking at you!

"Hare's looking at you babe"

"I'll just have a little doze"

"Ready for the rest of the day now"
