Join us for Good Friday worship online

Date: 10th April 2020

Time: 10:00 - 10:35

Good Friday

We cannot be together inside one of our church buildings today but we can join in spirit, sharing prayer and worship, from our own homes. So please join us this morning at 10am when, through the medium of 'Zoom', our Rector Chris will lead us as we reflect on the events around the supreme sacrifice made when Jesus died on the cross for the sake of us all.

You can find an order of service here: Prayer from home

You could read again John's Gospel account: John Chapters 18 & 19

To get a link by email to the 'Zoom' meeting, contact Chris or one of the churchwardens from any of our churches. Please join us a little before 10am so that we can meet and prepare ourselves for the start of the service.

'Zoom': It is very easy to join us on this. You do not need to download the programme onto your computer beforehand. Just click on the link in the email and follow the instructions on screen. You will be asked to click on 'Save' and the programme will download very quickly. Then you will be asked to click on the download to open it and will join us. When prompted, click 'Join with video' and 'Join with computer audio' (be sure that your computer camera and audio are on). You can close both audio and video (bottom left of the screen) at any time so that you cannot be seen or heard but will still be in the session.

Following guidance from the Church of England and the Department of Health

ALL church services are cancelled until further notice.

Sadly, our church buildings must remain closed for now.

Please see the "Covid-19 Our churches online" section of our website for some resources to help you pray and worship at home and to keep you in touch with our family of the church.

You might like to spend some time in quiet reflection on the events around the Crucifixion.

Readings for today:

Hebrews 10:16-25

John 18 and 19

Eternal God,
in the cross of Jesus
we see the cost of our sin
and the depth of your love:
in humble hope and fear
may we place at his feet
all that we have and all that we are,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
