Harton Benefice

Welcome to our ten village churches.

We look forward to meeting you.

Howsham - St John

The church of St John, Howsham is one of two "Street" churches in our Benefice.  One of the finest examples of the work of the architect George Street, the church is Grade1 listed.  It has an unusual bell tower and a most interesting interior.

The church lies part way down the steep hill along which the small village of Howsham is strung.

St John's is a Chapel of Ease in the parish of Bossall
