Harton Benefice

Welcome to our ten village churches.

We look forward to meeting you.

Church Schools

There are two excellent primary schools within our Benefice of Harton.

Both have close ties with our church communities.

Below is a brief introduction from the headteachers and links to their respective websites.

You can catch up on some of the school events, in words and pictures, by reading their regular contributions to The Circular.

Sand Hutton CE (VC) Primary Schoolhttp://www.sandhutton.n-yorks.sch.uk/

Sand Hutton is a happy, thriving primary school eight miles from York serving the villages of Sand Hutton, Flaxton, Claxton, Gate Helmsley, Upper Helmsley, Harton, Bossall and Buttercrambe. We pride ourselves on the individual care we give to our children and the vibrant curriculum we offer to enable all children to achieve their full potential.

The website presents a picture of life at our school however, we warmly welcome parents and children to visit us to see our school for themselves.

Foston CE Primary School:  http://www.foston.n-yorks.sch.uk

A huge welcome to our school.

We are extremely proud of our inviting and inclusive village school which welcomes all children and ensures they flourish to achieve their full potential. As a school we are always looking to move teaching and learning forwards to bring your child the best opportunities possible.
Our Christian ethos is evident throughout school and we maintain strong links with the Church and Methodist Chapel which share our community.
We are pleased to share with you that we can now offer nursery places which aids transition into our school. We have a newly developed and dedicated foundation stage room which encourages inquisitive and enquiring minds through interest led activities that promote the skills and mindset to be successful.

Please come and visit to see for yourself our happy and fulfilled children enjoying the fun and motivating curriculum that we provide.
